The SLE Bike Bus is an informal group ride organized by parent volunteers. It is not run, sponsored, or supervised by San Lorenzo Valley Elementary School or the San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District.

Taking part is voluntary and at your own risk. Riding a bicycle on public roads, including the shoulder of Highway 9, carries a risk of injury.

Each adult who rides is responsible for:

• their own safety and the safety and supervision of the children they bring;
• the condition of their bike, trailer, passenger seats, and other equipment;
• making sure everyone they bring wears a helmet and rides in a proper passenger setup;
• following traffic laws.

Ride leaders are volunteers. They are not trained supervisors, crossing guards, or emergency responders, and they do not take responsibility for other families' children.

The route, schedule, and whether the ride happens on a given day may change at any time, including because of weather or road construction.
